Since installation of Big Sur beta, my Cisco Anyconnect VPN fails to load on initialization. I uninstalled the VPN and re-installed, but still having the same issue. With remote working environment, I must go through the VPN on certain internal work applications, such as MS Outlook.
Launch the application from the /Applications global currentstate on run argv set theapp to 'Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client' tell application 'VPN' my checkUI if currentstate is false then return end if tell application 'Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client' activate end tell repeat until application 'Cisco AnyConnect Secure. Download the Mac Cisco AnyConnect VPN client via the Related Downloads box to the right on this page. Run the downloaded program. Note: the version number may be different from the screenshot above. When the installation starts, double click AnyConnect to continue. Click Continue twice.

Have you tried flushing your DNS and registering it again?
Flushed DNS and registered again, will let y'all know either way. Been a long time since I have used that command.
Thank you for the quick response.

seen common mention about AirPort Extreme and Local-Link setting as usual offender....not sure if it applies to you...
Been eyeing a mesh system to replace it but plenty of other expenses will come first.
EDIT: Did some digging on the local-link issue and I went out and disabled IPV6 connection sharing. Will see how this goes.
The solution that seems to be working is creating a 'guest network' just for my work laptop.

In general, don’t upgrade a system until all prerequisites are available. If you’re not sure or just in general, perform a test install and a scratch upgrade. As for this app, check for an update, and then contact Cisco Support if not.
Roll in your prior-to-the-upgrade backups and revert, if there’s no AnyConnect update available.
Having run a web search for Cisco AnyConnect Catalina finds the following support notice:

Cisco AnyConnect and HostScan require updated releases for compatibility with the upcoming macOS Catalina release (10.15). Beginning with macOS Catalina release (10.15), the operating system will no longer support the executing of 32-bit binaries. Additionally, applications must be cryptographically notarized in order to be installed by the operating system. Cisco AnyConnect 4.8.00175 is the first version that officially supports operation on macOS Catalina and contains no 32-bit code.

Which implies there’s a bug or mis-configuration here. If there’s no newer AnyConnect version and no other support notes, contact Cisco Support. This is a Cisco app, so Cisco Support will have a better position to identify and address any app issues.
